Lloyds PPI in 2000.

Hey all,
I was just going through some very old bank statements from the year 2000 and I noticed that when I took out a personal loan of £3000 there was also something else added to the loan. On my loan statement (the only paperwork I now have left of that account) there is also an amount of £318.54 added to the loan. i.e The loan now becomes £3318.54. On the statement it is marked as "Insurance Premium", nothing else. I seem to remember being pushed (I was only 21 at the time) in to taking out some sort of protection; could this be it?

I made 9 monthly payments of £301.98 followed by a final payment of 849.96. The grand total being £3577.81. On the loan statement it states that interest was 1.38% pm.

If this was PPI and it was sold to me wrongly, is this claim too old (16 years ago now) or is not worth pursuing? Ive finally managed to get my finances back on track, and as Tesco says 'Every little helps'.

Thanks for any advice - have a great day!

SN xx
