Awww goog luck little Wendz. Really hope she enjoys it. Enjoy your day out too.

We were on a 2 year fix, then Green went bust and we got moved to shell's standard tarriff and this whole nightmare began.

I was woken up by a rude woman from EON telling me I owed them £389. I said I've never had a contract with EON. Well apparently I owe that from the period of when I took on a commercial premises in December, to when the new provider took over early February. The premises fit out began late feb, and it opened mid-March. In the period she's talking about we went in once a week to run the taps, and there was maybe 3 hours total of electricity used in lights, but we don't even have a gas supply. Now we're in the unit our bills are only coming in at about £60 a month for electric, and she's saying it was about treble that when it was sat empty for all but an hour or two a week! So now I need to find the gas meter reading from the day I took on the premises, and send that over.

Morning all. Final day of the school holidays today, but instead of packing school bags and playing some final games NIM and I are running an open day at one of our premises, so the kids are off to nanas for a few hours.

SILs baby shower yesterday, nice people, relaxed affair, DD hid in the nursery for most of the event as it was too noisy (no music, just talking, but lots of conversations in a small space sets off her auditory processing issues). I found it a very hard day to be honest. NIM and I wanted a third child, but despite trying for 5 years we've had one chemical in that time and no other joy. The chemical baby would have been due this autumn, so while I'll love my niece or nephew to bits, I'm struggling a lot at the moment. No fewer than 5 people yesterday were pregnant and one had a baby with her, I was proud of me for not hiding in the utility and sobbing as I feared though.

Busy day with meetings tomorrow, but I'm hoping Tuesday and Wednesday I can move things forward with work a little. It all feels a little pointless though, if we can't pay our commercial energy bills this winter, we're going to fold anyway, so what's the point?! I think I'm having a bit of a down day.

Morning everyone. I swear I've started a post a dozen times since the 4th and then get distracted and never finish one!

So NIMs first pay day in the new job, and as it covers 6 weeks it's a good one. This means I've paid off the Barclaycard in full (just over £2400) and my parents (£1450) so all we have left is the Tesco card at £2,991.68.

I've misplaced my to do list. I had it at 10pm last night, now, nothing. So I'm feeling a bit lost as to what to do!

I meant to reply to your previous post. Well done for surviving the baby shower, it is very tough if you have lost a baby to go through these things as much as you want to be happy.

Good news about payday and paying off some debt.

Hi all, so I've been pretty ill since I last posted, out of action for a good 2 weeks with a kidney infection. I'm starting to be on the mend now, however we got the very surprising news on Friday that I'm pregnant again. Over the weekend though I've had some bleeding and more this morning and I'm just not feeling very hopeful that this one is going to stay, taking things very minute by minute at the moment. I have an appointment with my consultant on Thursday but I just can't envisage this bleeding not turning into more. I also had a very clear positive on a pregnancy test Friday and Saturday but by today there's hardly any line at all.

NIM has had a good review of his probationary period at work, so that's good, even if he's really not enjoying the job. He is already casually looking for something else.

Work still feels hopeless. We have a lot more bills than income at the moment, and currently our bookings for November are anticipated to be around half of last year which just isn't sustainable. We are looking at ways to redirect the company and do different things, but I'm not sure we will have the money to fund that redirection.

I've been spending a bit of time upping my print on demand catalogue before Christmas, mostly redbubble and Amazon merch, takes a lot longer to get products onto Etsy and quite frankly I can't even remember my login details for the other platforms I used to use, although I still get a few quid a month from designs I uploaded even 2 years ago.

I paid off more debt than we could afford this month, as I've not been able to take my usual wage out of the company, so as a result some money has gone back on the credit card. At some point I hope to be taking backdated wages, but at the moment that seems like a hope rather than a realistic plan.

Sorry, not the most optimistic of updates today.

Unfortunately my period came in full last night, so that was 4 days of happiness and back to the drawing board. It was very early but we were so excited about another little one.

Trying to be active rather than just sit and cry, but I can't focus on work so I'm decluttering. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to sell mountains of clothes that isn't item by item on ebay or facebook marketplace? I'm hoping something new has come along in the last decade. I did try taking a bag of designer stuff to a local shop a couple of years ago, but she didn't sell much and wouldn't even take 90% of the brands so I don't think it even covered the petrol to get there.

  • I’m so sorry to hear that Dinah-even though it’s early days once you get those lines on a stick you’re fully in it-be kind to yourself and do whatever you need to get through it.
Not sure if you’ve tried Vinted but I have sold a lot on there-sellers don’t pay listing fees or for postage (unless they use Royal Mail but it’s an option to turn it off)

Thanks Ruby. That's exactly it, we were fully in it, and now we've been kicked out even though we want to be still in.

I'll give Vinted a go. So far I have about 20 bras which I can't imagine I can sell anywhere as all are used, a load of pjs (can't imagine anyone wants second hand pjs) and I do have a big pile of trendy leggings and crop tops (Lucy Locks, Be Your Happy Place, Funky Fit etc) so those may sell okay.

I'm going to just prattle away here if that's okay

I'm so sorry Dinah. It doesn't matter how early it is, it still hurts. Look after yourself.
