Concentrix Letter RE Childcare

Hi could anyone help me please?

I started claiming tax credits in September, my childcare costs were £58 a week (and still are)
But up until August they were a bit less i'd say they averaged £40 a week but I changed my hours when my partner left and had to use more childcare. I've had the letter asking for the childcare costs between 6th April 2015 - 5th April 2016 and obviously it won't average out to £58 because of the earlier costs, but as i didn't claim for that period will they still use it to work out my average?

I'm worried that they'll think I've overpaid when I have the more current invoices showing £58 (apart from bank holidays when it's less but then holiday club is more so it's swings and roundabouts).

If anyone has any experience it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

My provider simply wrote a letter stating when he started and how much I paid a week, not an average or anything.. If that helps
  • last year i sent copies of all invoices and proof of payment.
They worked mine out to be different by about £9 a week less.

I dont think you can ever be 100% accuarate when estimating and they will understand that.
I never got an over payment

Although the previous year i was out on my child care figures by about 35 a week. They deduced the overpayment monthly from my award.
  • But if i only claimed from when the increase came into effect surely they can't include the lower amounts in the averages as it'll bring it way down? I can't access the whole year payments i'm just going to send in this months invoice as it does say that's one option.

Just explain the costs for the tax year but explain when you started claiming and the costs you claimed at that time.
  • Hi do you know if i'll receive my payment that's due tomorrow? I'll be slightly up !!!! creak without a paddle if not.

The only way to know if you'll get a payment tomorrow is to phone HMRC up & ask. They can see whether the money has gone out or not.

Be clear you just want to know if you will get paid, and that you do not wish to change anything, which should step past any Concentrix flags.

If you happen to have relevant P60s etc & are offered a chance to renew, grab it!
  • I renewed the 1st May!
