Best Replacement for HUDL2?

Hi,
Both of my kids currently have Tesco HUDL2s and are addicted to them. Unfortunately the charging problems that have plagued these devices are getting worse and I fear they will soon become almost unusable.
What do you guys recommend as replacements? Before you start singing the praises of Ipads, please bear in mind that I'm only interested in devices at an absolute maximum of £120 each (but would prefer to spend less). Other mandatory requirements are: 8 inch or larger full HD (1920x1080) display, micro sd card slot, battery life no worse than HUDL2 (4.5 hours ish with real world use). Finally, although there are some good deals on them, I'm not interested in Windows based tablets.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Bought 3 of these for the same reason as you;
Much better than the Hudl, better speaker(s) and operating system Android 5
They were £69 each a few months ago
Now only £59, so 2 for your budget
Argos ebay state re-furb, but I found my all 3 were unused brand new

The Lenovo Tab S8 is the full HD version of that one and may even be the ones ballyblack bought as they too are fairly freely available at reasonable prices.0

Many thanks for your suggestions. The S8 looks very nice, but as these don't seem to be as plentiful, or as cheap, as the A8s I think I may buy a couple of the cheaper A8s.0

Further to my original post, my daughter is getting increasingly envious of her brother and his laptop. Given that I need to replace her tablet, and can't afford to but a tablet and a laptop, is the Linx 10 with keyboard a sensible compromise? I know I said I didn't want a windows tablet, but she could use it without the keyboard as a tablet or with the keyboard as laptop - she's only 6, so that fact that it wouldn't be a particularly powerful laptop shouldn't be an issue - so long as she could do some word processing and play Minecraft she'd be happy.0

Seems to get mainly good reviews on ebuyer.0 -
Thanks Anne_Marie. It was seeing the ebuyer mailshot that made me ask the question.0

I replaced the charging port for £3.99 (reduced from £20) on a Hudl1 using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ_8tpiDtUk There are videos for the Hudl2 available but I have not looked at the cost,
Currently waiting for a £2 charging port from China for my other kids Nexus7! I hope it is a successful as the Hudl!0 -
Thanks Terry. I previously replaced the charging port when it failed to charge at all (around £12 from Amazon, I think). That brought it back to life for a while, but it now only charges when fully turned off. The battery life is also pretty poor now so it's due for replacement.0

Yes, I am not sure if I would pay to replace the battery although you can get them for under a tenner. Hopefully I will not have to make the decision for a few months yet!0

We have hudl 1 and 2 but also some galaxy tab 3 (8 inch and 10 inch models)
I cant remember what we paid for the 8 inch tab 3 but I dont think it was that different to the hudl 2 price and I think its the better of the two when I am using it.
The real test is the kid test though and whats blown me away is how robust these are with the kids.
The 3 of them have had the hudl (original for about 3 years now) and its used daily and still going strong. The Hudl 2 and Galaxy tab are as well but they have been in use for 18 months - 2 years.0
