Teletext Holidays - Unreliable - Poor customer relations

Such a BIG MISTAKE I MADE - Booking holidays with teletext.
booked my holidays to Italy with three nights stay in Rome and three nights stay in Venice, flying on the 20June 2016.
I have to complain here, as my complaints havent been heard yet. May be Other readers can get help from this.
I complaint about the hotel which Is booked by mistake in Rome, as they rushed me down(my fault aswell as j should have researched it a bit more) Anyway, Later called them to change the hotel.
Again They rush you, no advises been given, the staff doesnt even know if the hotel is in town or outskirts. Looked at the facilities on the hotel website, which are almost wrong. Why teletext would advertise false information ? Just to sell the packages ?
first false info - They mention that the hotel has a free shuttle service - There is no shuttle service.
Some hotel reviewers have mentioned that they felt scared to walk back to the hotel at night. Obviously there is no connectivity for around 2 KMS from the town. Taxis are so costly in rome, 3 times than in Britain. You dont want to get robbed on a holiday walking back at night.
When you book with teletext they do not give you enough time to research the hotel as they rush you down by saying "If you comfirm the hotel right now than only we can change it and wont charge the admin fees, later we wont be able to change the hotel"
Now after speaking to the senior executive staff to change the hotel one last time they refused to make any further change in accommodation.
This is horrifying as your company have displayed the hotels which are of no use to the customers, where they will feel scared to walk back at night ?
This hotel will spoil my holiday experience and Especially when I have spent what £720 to book the holiday with you and further £15.00 to make the first change of the hotel.
Please when booking with them, be extra cautious, or use the bigger brands. Like TUI or Jet 2.

The moral of this story is to make sure you do your research. I too have been caught out by one of these online travel companies in the past (2011) and like you it has taught me a valuable lesson when booking holidays, fortunately in the ten or more foreign holidays since I have never had any problems again by researching and not using online dodgy companies. Good luck getting this resolved OP.0

Regrettably, although I haven't counted the times they appear here, Teletext probably appears more often than any other company selling in the UK travel market. They also respond saying they will look at it, many say they don't and frankly people only come to this forum when they feel they have exhausted the procedures which are supposed to resolve problems inside the company.
I live in outer London and often see foreign, and occasionally British, tourists wandering around thinking that they are booking the centre of London, so Teletext may have its equivalent overseas as well!0 -

True, but no fault of Easyjet or the villa owner. Did make for a very exciting holiday though and will be in Egypt again in October. Not Sharm......0

I have had communications with Teletext for over 6 months now.
The holiday was awful. We changed hotels as no heating for 2 days in December and we suffered injuries from broken furniture and chlorine burns.
Teletext have turned their backs on us and will not even try to.7nderstand what happened with us.
We have 5 hours of call recordings with their staff- advising of hotel refund on out return.
Just awful scenario0 -
Well it looks like I am the latest mug to fall under the guise of Teletext Holidays. I am currently on day 1 of 14 and already feeling ripped off. Charged £30 by Ryanair for overweight case by 3 kilos although weighed comfortably at home to avoid such an issue arising. Arrived at Rhodes Airport and both of my cases damaged probably thrown, now beyond repair. Hotel advertised as All Inclusive but being charged everywhere I move. My 12 year old daughter was so looking forward to using the Blue Bay Group Waterpark adjacent to the complex only to find a charge each time of use €5 children €10 adults plus costs for refreshments.
No refreshments in the room. No water in the fridge. Room not ready upon arrival. Fresh towels half way through the day. Charges to restaurants and for refreshments across the complex. €25 for the use of the safety deposit box "in the room". €30 towel deposit for use around the pool. Not enough sun beds for all. Beach adjacent charge for beds and refreshments although still advertising Blue Bay Group.
No sign of a rep because it is not a package holiday. Definitely over sold this one.
Any advise would be a positive and hopefully a move forward.
Kind regards0 -

Many of those things are normal in hotels I've stayed in, though I haven't done an AI in a few years. It just means the food is all inclusive, nothing in your room is usually included. Waters very cheap to buy, to keep a bottle in your room.
This is Greece and they've only come to AI in the last few years. Giving bottled water away free seems to be going out of fashion, but they often have water coolers around the hotel don't they? Perhaps you misunderstood the hotels rating?0
