What happened to 'The Full Facts' forum for ESA / Benefits Advice?!

Hi Folks!

I've recently had my ESA50 form through the post which I completed and returned to the best of my ability answering with responses which I'd hoped would help me score the required amount of points to have my ESA benefits claim upheld. Unfortunately however it appears that my replies havent scored the sufficient number of points and I have now been 'invited' to a face to face assessment at my local DWP office next week.

Now I used to use a very informative website / forum called 'The Full Facts'. This was a really handy forum with all kinds of threads from people in similar situation regarding having their benefit assessments, plus there would be documents to download re: claiming ESA / DLA etc as well as links to relevant information on other sites. Now its been a couple of years since I'd last used 'The Full Facts' web forum as my last ESA claim was (albeit after going through an appeal) successful. Now 2 years later I find myself having to go through all the same thing and I;ve come online to try find the forum and sadly it appears the website no longer exists... Does anyone have any idea as to where its gone? Did it just vanish? Was it renamed?

The only other similar website I can find is one called Benefits and Advice which requests a subscription fee be paid to basically access the same information that could be found via 'The Full Facts' forum for free, or elsewhere for free if you know where to look. I'm getting pretty concerned because I know what these DWP assessments are like - pretty ruthless, as anyone who knows what I'm talking about will agree.

So if anyone can recommend a good source of information for dealing with ESA face to face assessment please let me know ASAP.

Many thanks!

Johnny

If your responses are an honest assessment of your medical situation, rather than simply being those which you hoped would score you the required points, you have nothing to worry about at the assessment. However, if the responses on the ESA50 differ greatly from what is noted at your assessment it might be problematic.

you just go to see someone, who questions you about what you have written in your work capability questionairre, it's pretty straight-foreward, don't really have to "prepare" beyond sorting out transport to go see them... and then await the outcome / next step.
