Hi,
just a quick one, I am currently registered as bankrupt in the UK. Would anyone know whether this would extend to Tenerife as this is where I live now.
Thanks

Quick answer yes - can you be more detailed in your question.
brain dump long answer
Your bankruptcy would cover all your debts worldwide that existed on date you were made bankrupt.
The OR has control over all your assets worldwide.
You should comply with OR no matter where you reside, including informing of income and expenditure, and respecting rules about taking on new debt.
I'm fairly sure within Europe at least being bankrupt in one country makes you bankrupt in another. I'd be very surprised if most credit rating agencies in Europe wouldn't find you bankruptcy during a credit check (especially if nationality and address history suggest connection to uk)0 -
Hi
You might find this factsheet on bankruptcy abroad useful:

Apologies,
I meant obtaining credit.0 -
As I said before
You should comply with OR no matter where you reside, including informing of income and expenditure, and respecting rules about taking on new debt.
So assuming you are still bankrupt (or not discharged)no attempting to get credit of £500 or more(or equivalent in other currencies) without informing the lender of your bankruptcy
Depending in level of credit your looking for, your bankruptcy may or may not be thrown up to lender (but you should still inform them, until discharge). For small amounts the check may not check history outside Spain, for larger they will almost certainly do. Not sure on credit history retention periods abroad but the gazette entry will be there forever should they look0
