Ideal isar he24 boiler - rads keep coming on?

Hi,
I hope this is the right place for this question!
We've recently moved house, it has a Ideal Isar HE24 boiler and Honeywell wireless thermostat/programmer.
All was well with the hot water / radiators until about a week ago. The boiler keeps firing the radiators up randomly through the day & night. The programmer is set to off, hot water coming through fine, boiler showing C on the display. Pressure is at 1.5bar.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? When we use the thermostat to turn the radiators on, it works & goes off when we turn it off. But then it will just randomly turn the radiators on every hour or two.
I've looked at old posts but can't find anything similar.
Thanks

Possibly a faulty thermostat. Take the batteries out for a day or so to see if that's the case0

Faulty switch valve caused my boiler to ignore the timer.0

Yes had a similar problem a few years ago. New gate valve fixed it.For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

Thanks for your replies. Have taken batteries out of thermostat and it's still playing up.
Would a new valve being fitted be an expensive job? I assume this wouldn't be a diy job?0 -
New central heating actuator head needed. Not expensive and something you can do yourself if it's a simple clip off clip one one with a few wires to take off put on. No work on the boiler required so no gas safe engineer required. it's ok for you to try yourself0

The OP's boiler is a combiI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Knackered divertor valve or motor or blocked plate hex, your installer will need the full S/N inc the two letters at the beginning & a pic of the motor if it's that & I'd start saving because they are a truely terrible boilerI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
