I have quite a bit of glue but none of them seem to do the job properly. I'm looking to glue back some gemstones onto metal (silver, copper and other metals). I'm also trying to repair some ceramic items. I've tried superglue, hard as nails and a clear German glue but none have really worked.
I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas before buying more stuff. Would Expoxy be any good? There is also Gorilla Glue, one is Epoxy, the other one is meant to be really good but it's a tan colour so not suitable, especially for the white ceramic.

Big corporations take advantage of the unwary, it's time we learned how to deal with them

Epoxy is good but can go yellow after a while, unless you buy the ones used in jewellery making. Does it need to be clear as wondered whether something like no more nails or that kind of stuff would work?0

sugru is great stuff, i have used it for many projects and i always add it to new chargers, where the wire goes into the bit you use to charge, as it saves the cable from bending and breaking. E6000 is a good glue to have on hand as well, so if sugru wont be suitable for your project, E6000 will0

You can get different grades of epoxy, and it sounds somewhat suitable for the job in hand. Make sure both surfaces are 100% grease-free and ideally sanded/textured so the glue has something to bond to.0
