the only one out of those three that sounds suitable is the middle one, as the first I wouldnt go anywhere near, and the third you say the child is not that into.

Is the child male/female, and what do they like?
Also give us a few more clues as to where about you live, how much you would want to spend on the child (or group of children if taking some friends).

A theme park with the current best friend would've been DD's choice at 12.

It's difficult to see how strangers on a forum could possibly know more about what a child would like than its own parent could.

Depends on what your child is interested in also.
I could recommend everything from a leisurely interactive museum tour to a full-on, adrenaline fuelled day out, and everything in between.
I know my son would like the latter, and my girl nephews would also, but not sure about your childs tastes.

My kids would have enjoyed the zoo, safari park, theatre, or museums at that age (and still do!). They have always enjoyed a meal out as part of the day out. A Little Chef breakfast early in the morning before the zoo, or lunch in the museum caf! are favourites.

They have also enjoyed pottery - painting it is ok, but they loved having a go on a potter's wheel.

I'm assuming from your original suggestions that you are down South. Google 'days out with the kids + your county' and you should have plenty of suggestions.
