garador Mark 1 garage door

Hi,
we have an up and over garador Mark 1 garage door. The steel cables holding the counterbalance weights shredded, so managed to get replacements. However ... can't for the life of me (and OH) work out how to get the wire to go over the pulley to work.
If it helps .... there's a wheel with 2 grooves nearest to the wall - and then away from that is a single wheel. I'm assuming that the wire goes up across down and back in some way .................It came off easily enough;)
any suggestions from physics type chaps??

thanks ormus - no ours is an older version - not quite so plush! Garador don't seem to have any earlier technical stuff on their site - perhaps I'll give them a ring tomorrow ..Bern :j0
