LOL. I did a similar thing with my Wife Flu ridden missus tonight. I made some sort of spicy dish with random stuff from the freezer. I may have introduced her to sme foods she doesn't usually touch. She was feeling too rough to complain!:rotfl:

    Hi all

I know I havent been around much but I am here in spirit. Our finances have been awful just lately. DH is struggling on with health problems and working as much as he can and we have had a couple of big bills to pay. Savings pots have gone to pot temporarily.

So the only way is up. DH occasionally has a little bet on the football results and today he felt the urge to bet on the horses at Ascot. He won £94 from a 75p bet. Not sure if I will see any of it though!

Are you not going back to the business Bob? You worked so hard at it but I can understand why your plans might be different now. Sorry if I should know the answer to that.

Right, washing to bring in, a bit of preparation for a meeting with 2nd job employers tomorrow then it might be an early night.

Amazing win for Mr Yorkshire there!!
I made the very difficult decision 2 weeks back that the amount of work that goes into running the business is just too much for me especially now I have a baby in the mix. You may understand more than most as your DH is also self employed I think? But its just things like never knowing how much I will make in a month (sometimes if anything) & never being able to go to school events for DS. I feel after 4 years of giving it everything I've got and still never really making much from it, enough is enough. Im sad but optimistic. And at least I wont be one of those people who has a dream but never tried.

Thanks Speckysquare for getting us started today.

Good to see you back Yorkshirelass

I forced myself to go and do the washing up earlier.

Ally when I have a cold or similar I always want to eat very spicy food, I'm sure DW thinks you were feeding her something to make her feel better ;)
