Mortgage application FTB employment query

Hi there,
Very new to the forum!
My query is this:
My hubby and I are FTB. We both have permanent full time jobs and will have our deposit together within the next 18m. My husband has been in current role for 15+yrs and has been given the chance to train as a nurse by employer (currently health care assistant). This will take 3 years and the hospital trust are paying his current salary whilst he trains plus the degree fees. There is also a guarantee of a full time permanent job as a qualified nurse at the end, will have his wages paid by the trust as usual. He will still be classed as a permanent employee and current role will remain should he not complete/pass. Would we stand a chance of acceptance for a mortgage. His salary £23k, mine £40k.
Any advice grateful!!
