Next and PPI

Hi,
I sent an email to Next querying an account opened in 1990 with ppi added automatically when I was a student.
Next claim I actually opened the account in 1992 and to speak to First Assist as they are responsible for the policy as Next were only responsible for the sale of the policy.
What should my next steps be with this?
Thanks

If you are complaining about a mis-sale then you indeed complain to the original seller....0

So Next then and not First Assist? They disagree with this.0 -
You firstly complain to Next who will reject it, then take it to the underwriter Phoenix who have accepted liability.0

You said you wrote "querying the account". This is clearly not the same as making a mis-selling complaint. You complain, in the first instance, to Next who sold you the policy.0

No I contacted them regarding mis-selling ppi on the basis I was a student with no income therefore the policy was unsuitable.
Where does Phoenix come into this?

If you call Phoenix the insurer, they should be able to give you the phone number for the specific team handling complaints about Next Directory PPI0
