How to escape from Timeshare

I have an UK based timeshare and wish to give it up.
The maintenance fees have risen too much to make value for money.
I have sought help from TATOC and they said all I can do is sell it. Even at £zero cost there are very few takers, so the chances are slim. Timeshare sellers charge from £150 to advertise online and expect to sell for a price even though I want to hand it over for free.
I have spoken to the resort but they will not accept it back.
What can I do? HELP!!!!!

I heard on Radio Four's "you and yours" that in some cases the contract was passed onto the children at death and they became responsible for paying the maintenance fees.0 -
Would it look too desperate if you say, included the first years maintenance fees already paid up with it? then embellish a bit saying must dispose of quick.. emigrating soon... or something like that?0
