Anyone recommend nice, cheap, romantic hotel at a good location in London? We are down for the NFL game at wembley so thought we would stay near the stadium on the Sunday. Friday and Saturday it would be nice to be more central.
I've had a look on tripadvisor and hotelscomparison.com but not sure of the areas? (and they all look so expensive!)
Thanks

You could stay at the Ibis at wembley . Its about 50 yards from a Train station that takes you straight to London Marylebone. Trains run every 30 mins or so.
Its also very near to Wembley stadium . Check it out on Trip advisor .
I wouldnt bother moving hotel to central London

thanks for that, Bestyman. Definitely look at that for the Sunday.
I think we'd still like to be in hub of things for a couple of nights. been a rough few months (teenagers - need I say more!) so we're looking on this as a wee holiday.
I was thinking round about Covent Garden, Green Park, etc.0 -
Hi
Try www.wotif.com. This has discounts for top London hotels for the next 28 days and is worth a look. Best thing to do is check out the wotif privce and then phone the hotel and barter.
Outside that, there a number of hotels in Bayswater that are normally favourably priced. Otherwise, you are looking at a travel lodge in town but obviously that does not hit the romance button.
It really depends on what 'cheap' means? What kind of budget do you have in mind and perhaps I can be of more use!0 -
Not the most romantic hotels in the world but you could do worse than a Travelodge. Clean and functional.

Some rooms available for £26 or £39 a night if booked well in advance.0 -

Less than £100 per night - per room, not per person. That's a great site - thanks!0 -
Here is a write-up of the NFL game at Wembley that includes info on London Wembley hotels suitable for the game:

I have used Laterooms.com before which is very good, best to leave it till the week you're due to arrive to book when the prices are at their cheapest!
