NCP Portsmouth Market Way - Disabled driver.

Hello,

I have received 3 PCN letters from the NCP at Portsmouth Market Wa for failure to buy a ticket. (£50 each)

They got my details from the DVLA.

I did not buy a ticket as I am a disabled driver and thought I could park there for free with a Blue Badge displayed.

I have appealed the fines but of course they have been declined.

I was wondering what my options are? I have read some of the sticky threads but could not see much information for Blue Badge Holders.

Thank you for your help.

Hi and welcome to the forum ........

blue badges are not applicable on private land ( read your booklet)

you need to re read the newbie thread and look for the BPA template

who / what is Portsmouth Market ? retail park ? / general car park ? supermarket ?

appeals to the land owner / land lord may be in order

    good luck

Thanks for your prompt reply Ralph.
I will check out the BPA template.
Portsmouth Market is a general car park that backs Cascades Shopping Centre but I don't think they are related.
I will try and appeal to the land owner.

NCP are easy to beat at POPLA as long as you DO NOT say who was driving. See the NEWBIES thread for the appeal to use, as registered keeper ONLY.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

OP, I am also a (recent) Blue Badge holder and you have to read the parking signs very carefuilly before assuming you can park for free. This is all explained in the very detailed booklet you get with your badge.
Some car parks allow BB to park free only in disabled spaces, others allow you to park anywhere for free if you are displaying your BB, others don't make any concessions at all even in disabled spaces.
I haven't found any NCP car parks locally with free BB parking.
