Revisiting Lloyds TSB PPI Claim

Hi All,

Around end of 2012 we got some PPI from Lloyds TSB & a couple of other companies, however after speaking with friends, they have advised that I should check to see if I may have been paid comparitive/alternative redress (sure that's what he said - I'm not good with all this stuff, lol).

We had used a CMC to deal with it originally, and I don't believe I have the paperwork for the payments (although I can check).

Is there a letter template that can be used for this, my friend did advise that it was a CMC that handled his, but ours has never returned to say anything.

I could contact the CMC and possibly ask this, but I have always been warned away from doing that on here, since I did originally.

Just wondering if there are any such templates. Only ones I can find are the PPI claim letters for first timers.

TIA

FD

No template as Lloyds are revisiting the old complaints without the need for you to contact them.

No. That would be daft as you would end up paying them for something that Lloyds would do automatically if you are affected by the cases under review.

    Thanks.

My friend did seem to suggest that why would the bank come back to say they owed any more money?

Not sure if this was from information relayed from the CMC he used, although I can see logically if not he would think that.

They would and they have been refunding more money to affected complainants. They do this because they are monitored by the Regulator.

If you are getting more money the Bank will contact you, so you don't need to do anything.

If your CMC approaches you offering to representi you, I'd decline their "kind" offer, as they'll want a third of any extra money...

The regulator has insisted on the reviews and the banks have to feedback the data to the regulator. There are many posts on this board from people getting money out of the blue.

However, your friend is cynical then he can approach the bank and ask them to re-review the case. They will either agree or disagree. If they disagree then its not a case affected. If they agree then he will await their income. However, no CMC should be used as that is all the CMC would ask the bank to do.
