Paying Holiday balance ? which card
BOBS

Just about to pay the balance of our summer holiday hotel booking on travel republic. They are charging 1.99% for using credit card - which equates to about £35.
Have just read this link

Seems that if I pay at least £100 on credit card and the rest by maestro (for example) - I can avoid the bulk of this £35 fee but still be covered by credit card protection .
Can anyone confirm I have got this right before paying ...
Thanks

from what i can understand it seems to be £100 for the credit card to cover - though I stand to be corrected on this0 -
You get the cover by paying any amount on a credit card (eg. £1), providing the total purchase is between £100 and some maximum amount in the thousands*.from what i can understand it seems to be £100 for the credit card to cover - though I stand to be corrected on this
*Edited to add: £30,0000 -
