deleting pics from google photos

how do you select multiple images to delete rather than having to select each photo individually that then opens in a new window to then have the delete option showing?
i would like to select many to delete in one go.

i should have said that it was on my windows 10 laptop that i wanted to do this!!
i just cannot see how to select multiple images from the hundreds of pics i have showing to delete the unwanted ones.0 -
