  • Good Morning everyone, grey and damp here today but warm with it. We had some much needed rain in the evening yesterday and the garden is looking lots happier (and greener) today as a result. He Who Knows has the dentist this morning and a visit for us this afternoon from my nephew who has just come home from a year working and travelling in Australia, looking forward to seeing him very much. Not much else planned other than a top and tail of the house, up to date with everything else other than 3 things to iron that I washed yesterday.

The weather this coming week looks to be a little unpredictable so I'll visit the library to see if I can find some books to read in the times I can't be out and doing!

Have yourselves a nice day, Lyn xxx.

    Morning everyone,

Wet and dull here this morning, the rain woke me in the night hitting the sky light above our heads.

We had good fun yesterday, firstly young to Burnham-on-Sea for a walk along the front to blow the cobwebs away, they had several stalls out and events during the day celebrating the Queens's 90th.
We then headed off with a plan to drive through Exmoor but come across Dunster Castle and had to stop. It was a fantastic place to visit, both the castle and the village, we spent hours there and only left when hunger drove us to find somewhere that was open for a roast. Not sure yet on plans for today, maybe Wells as have never seen the cathedral there and might be a good place to be on such a wet day.

Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

    Morning Everyone

Big virtual hugs to all who need them! Grey and damp here in East Devon - washing dried on clothes horse over the weekend.

I've been missing for a few days, busy house hunting, and spent a very restless night as I'm waiting to hear whether my offer on a very nice bungalow has been accepted. It's not the full asking price but I've gone in £5k over my budget so if it isn't accepted I will have to look elsewhere, which is what I've said to the estate agent.

Very tired but need to get a wiggle on and jump in the shower as I'm going to meet a friend in town for coffee then getting my hair cut.

    Have a great day all!

    SP xx

    Good morning everyone,

Saturday was my girlfriends brothers wedding on the shores of Loch Lommond, it was a lovely day had by all and I paid for it yesterday with a rather sore head.

Back to normality now. Work, healthy eating and exercise is on the agenda for the week ahead.

camelot - I have been diagnosed with some incredibly tight hip flexors which give me chronic knee paid, so there are some really good stretches you can do from home which may help.
Coxy - Thinking about you and hope you're feeling better soon.
Sweetpea - Good luck with the offer!
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Its hissing down this morning, true to form, I have an overfull laundry basket. I have put a load of whites in, will put them in the dryer for half an hour and finish them off on the airer. Heaven knows when I will get the huge pile of colours done!!

Lovely day yesterday despite the fact that it chucked it down for over 2 hours, we saw some lovely gardens, some very manicured and some that I love, stuffed that full of plants you do not know where to look first. Thats just how I want the herbaceous border here to be. I did buy some plants to fill in gaps, the village supports lots of charities, so I do not mind. With the entrance fee, tea and cake and the plants we had a days entertainment for under £20. Not bad. I came away with some great ideas. I am not as sore as I expected to be this morning. There was just one garden up a hill, I had to have a breather half way up.

We were very late having supper, for once we ate in the sitting room I wanted to see !!!! Strawbridge, so plated up the supper and we ate whilst watching the TV.

Hmmmm the sky is lightening a bit, wonder if the rain is going to stop. I have the MOnday clean to do as well.

You could try sprinkling bicarb of soda over the stain and brushing it
in then leaving for several hours before hoovering it up to deal with the smell.

I just had a phone call from the builders and the new kitchen units will arrive tonight as well as the new flooring :j Looks like tomorrow will be very noisy but productive. I can't wait to have a proper kitchen again.

I really enjoyed seeing dd and sil's new house yesterday and feel they will be happy there. We tried out the nespresso machine I got them as a house warming present and I even managed to find the capsules for it at half price in a nearby shop. DDs assembled a couple of bookcases and we unpacked several cartons and put crockery away.

Older dd might be calling round today to use our internet so she can work from home after making a business visit this morning so will see what she fancies for lunch that can be made in a microwave or an electric lidded pan as they are the only facilities I have just now. It is a grey and damp morning so a hot meal sounds like a good idea.

    Coxy

I hope you feel better soon.

    Hugs to all
