a bit vague

I'm always surprised when I see auctions where sellers have made no effort at all. I was looking at books and came across this one 180157125877 , it couldn't be more vague if it tried.

I wonder that since the auction is also private whether there is actually something else going on that I have missed entirely...

Even his non book auctions are as vague. 180157123739

  • that is so weird, no photos, no descriptions, no nothing!
can't see any other the seller's previous sales as they're private. how strange.

There's a photo on this one 180156960849 not sure it does it any favours mind you... And he's gone a bit OTT for this 180157121872 but 'random books' not even the type of books they are. I am going to be sad enough and watch and see if anyone is curious enough to buy some.
    Takes all sorts...

Does anyone know what a djembe is by the way? 180157123739

I was hoping someone could tell me

I love the rug auction as well, no sizing or anything...there has to be more to this than meets the eye.

A Djembe is a drum ;) - listings were all done on Thursday (10p day) and I suspect that the seller intends/intended updating the listings imminently, hadn't got photos etc ready for Thursday, but wanted to take advantage of the cheap day?

    From wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djembe

A djembe (pronounced jem bay) also known as djimbe, jenbe, jembe, yembe or sanbanyi in Susu; is a skin covered hand drum, shaped like a large goblet, and meant to be played with bare hands. The djembe is also known as the magical drum, and the mushroom-shaped drum

  • djembe drums are African instruments :) Hey, GCSE music has to be useful for something!! They used to be used as a means of communication between African Villages.

If he tries to edit the listings he will find that the listing fee goes to the usual one. Ebay stopped this trick a couple of years ago.
  • I think this guy is just a bit silly and couldn't be bothered with pictures and proper information!

I've bought a few dvds on ebay which only have the stock picture and ebay description of the movie, once I watch it and want to sell it on again, I write a few personal things about the item and take a few pictures of the dvd etc. and end up making more than what I originally bought it for. It gets a lot more attention and will get buyers more interested.

Trust me, a little description and pictures go a long way!! :D

No, they did that for a short while but it caused so many problems, e.g. sellers unable to correct genuine errors and crashing the system with the amount of data uploaded on the cheap listing day itself, that they changed it back so it is now possible to edit cheap listings later without incurring additional fees.
Now I've looked at the seller's other items, it seems fairly obvious to me that this is what they're doing: as well as multiple lots of undescribed random books, they're also offering a sofa bed where the listing says that dimensions will be added later.
I still have a few of Thursday's cheap listings which I haven't yet got round to finishing: some of mine have a very scant description and "more details and pics to follow":o
