can someone tell me if the account has nearly been on my credit report it normally drops off does it make a difference if there has been payments made or not.

Hi Slind,
I am not sure I quite understand your post but hopefully a few basics may help. So, if you have a debt that fell behind and defaulted then that debt will appear on your credit file for 6 years from the date of default or judgement. After 6 years the debt will come off your file whether or not there is a balance owing or you have been making payments.
If you have kept your accounts up to date then they will continue to show for as long as you use the credit and your payments will simply be marked as up to date. I hope that helps,
