Has anybody got any feedback on The Will Associates based in Market Drayton? My dad has parted with £700 to rewrite a simple Will and draft a financial EPA. They said it would take 14 days for draft docs to arrive- as yet nothing. Just worried hes been shafted.

Well, they aren't an SRA-regulated law practice and the person who visited your Dad would be a 'trained Consultant'.
It's usually best to avoid will writer companies and get the job done properly (and usually more cheaply) through a recommended local solicitor.0 -

Does that really matter? He has already paid for the service however unwisely, it's too late to cancel now.
Just don't let him pay for any additional services. He would not be getting a draft EPA they have been replaced by LPAs. if the will really was a simple one it will probably be fine if somewhat overpriced. The LPA is a good idea, once he has the draft go though it with him and if it is suitable go though the registration process your selves without giving further money to the will writer.
Don't get heavy with your dad about this either, he is doing the right things here, just going about it the wrong way, this forum is full of threads full of woe because their parents / partners have done nothing about wills or LPAs which is far worse than spending over the odds on a will.0 -
Once he (hopefully) gets the will ensure he does not pay a fortune for it to be stored as a friend of mine is doing - in the past ten years since writing his will he has probably paid three times over the original cost just for storage. This is something a solicitor would have done for free so the saving he thought he was making on the price is exactly the opposite.
I just hope when it comes time to execute it I can still contact them to get the original!
[interesting that it was a slightly differently named company but based in the same are as the one your father has used…]0 -

Sadly it isn't up to me (his will not mine) and friend is a bloke who doesn't want to admit it wasn't a smart move!0 -
