Samsung Galaxy S6 Has Stopped Remembering New Words

Hi all,

A quick question. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. It recently updated automatically and has now lost the ability to remember new words. So for instance, if I wrote BAMBOOZLE on my handset, it would come up as a new word the first time so I would have to type it letter by letter, but the next time I tried typing it, it would come up automatically in the word it thought it was list (the 3 words it comes up with just above the keyboard). It no longer does that and I have to type BAMBOOZLE in letter by letter each time I want to use that word. Well I don't actually use BAMBOOZLE, but it's just an example, haha.

Is there anyway I can get it to start remembering words again? I've been on Google and have found some tips - click SETTINGS, then LANGUAGE AND INPUT, then SAMSUNG KEYBOARD, turn PREDICTIVE TEXT on (it's already on) and then I am supposed to turn on PERSONALISED DATA and then LEARN FROM MESSAGES. I have tried this but after turning PREDICTIVE TEXT on, there is no option to turn on PERSONALISED DATA and LEARN FROM MESSAGES.

I know I am being lazy, I should just type out words in full letter by letter but it is so time consuming.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you aren't able to resolve this issue then I recommend you download the free SwiftKey app.

I've used it for some years now and it is one of the best apps going.

Have a look in 'Language and input' in the phone settings and make sure 'Spelling correction' is turned on and the spell checker is selected.
Try the Google Keyboard....I find it better, but, it's a personal preference...

It's not working at all and I even have to manually type names in each time.

Can I just ask what swift key and Google keyboard do please? Is it a texting application?

They are just keyboards....When you have them downloaded they are selectable in the language section of settings.......Download them, they are free, if you don't like them................................uninstall....
Check your options Google keyboard may already be there.
