Manchester Airport - Water for flight

Hi, I have not traveled on an Airplane since 2010, so have no practical experience of the new 100ml liquids restriction.
Our family of 6 are traveling on a 9.55pm 4.5 hour flight to Gran Canaria next Saturday - Terminal 2.
Ideally we like to have 500ml water bottles with us, to drink.
I understand that no liquid greater than 100ml can be taken airside.
I know I can purchase 500ml water airside, but would prefer to take my own water if possible.
Can I take a empty 500ml bottles through, and fill up at an air side water fountain?
Any tips on Boots meal deal - is this the same as "High Street" boots deals?
Any other hints/tips please?

take a empty bottle and fill up airside , apparently ( according to a google search ) there are water dispensers after security


boots meal deals are same at on highstreet ( well at least at Gatwick & heathrow )

In t2 I think there is a water fountain - I cannot for the life of me remember where! I've got a feeling it is literally just after security. If you ask the (on the whole very nice) security people they will tell you.
