Weights & Measures issue

I have an issue with a product which I can best describe as a weights and measures type issues. It's a food product. I made contact with the supplier earlier this year and sent evidence to ask for an explanation. I received an acknowledgement but no follow up.
It's a subtle difference (ingredients) so I can imagine they might be having difficulty in getting to the root cause.
I'm thinking to write a follow up letter to ask for the supplier's response but also wondering if I should get any official body involved at this time.

What more info do you need? I don't want to disclose too much in case it identifies the parties involved. It looks like ingredients are falling short in terms of quality (e.g. should be 100% of one material but it seems to be inconsistent with some being a substitute material) or possibly something to do with the manufacturing process. Either way, the consumer is not getting what they paid for.0 -
Have you been in touch with your local authority trading standards? They police weights and measures.0

Not very helpful, the question, simply put, is which consumer rights group/body should I contact?0 -

Oops, sorry wrong quote/reply. Thanks, that is the answer I wanted!0 -
Yes you need to contact your local Trading Standards dept.
You can do it by email.
They will most definitely investigate your complaint / concern.
I was a food retailer / producer for 32 years & about twice a year we were inspected by them or had an un announced visit if a customer had made a complaint.

I'm not sure what you mean? Did you misquote my post or misread my reply?
TS are who you need to get in touch with. You do so via your local authority.0 -
