My experience of DLA to PIP So Far.........
I submitted my PIP form on 15th May 2016 - received text message 2 days later saying they had received it.
Phone call on Mon 6th June asking if they carry out an assessment at my house on Fri 10th June.
I had NOT requested a home visit but agreed to it - at least that way they can see all the adaptations I mentioned and also could prove I have had to put a toilet in downstairs etc.
He turned up yesterday morning around 11am - it took 90 minutes (didn't go very well - but that's a different story)
I am in North Manchester area.
So will see how long decision letter takes.
I will call them in a couple of weeks to see if any progress.
But its all been quite quick compared to others.

The next letter should be from the DWP saying they have had the assessors report etc and it is waiting for the decision maker to make a decision, that should take around 4-5 weeks0

Usually the next step is DWP will write saying they have all the evidence they need and a decision will be made soon. Tbh i've never heard of anyone recieving a letter saying they have the assessors report. Decisions are usually made soon after all evidence has been recieved, depending on back logs. Mine was made 2 weeks after assessment. The next letter should be from the DWP saying they have had the assessors report etc and it is waiting for the decision maker to make a decision, that should take around 4-5 weeks0 -
Maybe i'll get a text informing me they have all the info ?

Sorry I worded that badly although I did say "assessors report etc"0 -
Many people are reporting a wait of around 8 weeks between the face2face assessment and decision letter.0
