Make sense to get cash back card?

in Credit cards
Hi
I'm in a situation where I will be completing on a house purchase next week. Its a 4 bedroom semi and I have literally nothing in terms of possessions to move in, hence I will have to buy Everything from scratch.
Hence in quite a short space of time I am going to be spending a lot of money and I was thinking it would make sense to get a cash back credit card. I would pay off the balance each month.
Any thing wrong with this idea? I think there is a amex card that's 5% back for the first 3 months.. in that time I could easily spend 10k.
Thanks

i can't imagine not generating cashback on spending.
and the Amex card is the best on the market
BUT, it might be worth checking that the suppliers of the items you need will accept Amex. most retailers do, i find very few places that don't. but if you happen to be spending the bulk with a retailer that doesnt accept Amex then you might be kicking yourself.0 -
The fee free card has a limit of £2k, so maximum £100 cashback.0

You either get cashback or 0% purchase.
It depends if you have enough cash to pay off every month.0
