I started with a limit of £500, then 3 months later went to 800, then 1000, then 1300, each 3 months apart. I then cleared my balance of 1200 and they reduced me to 1000, no poor conduct but they seem to have a very fluid credit limit policy depending on purchases and payments.

Isn't Shop Direct just a brand covering Littlewoods, Very.co.uk etc ?

It is the company that owns littlewoods and very yes.

Ive had it the account for just over 4m it started at £1000 and it hasn't moved. I have bought a few things but paid them off before interest. I owe £50 so they prob don't think I need a higher limit.

It would be Littlewoods, Very who provide the finance.

I have an account with Very for 4 or 5 years now and it has been increasing regularly, every 4 to 6 months, and it is now 3.5k. I dont even use half of it and always pay before the end of buy now pay later period. So they get no interest from me. I do purchase items there every 3 months or so.

I got very account about 3months ago with a starting limit of £1000, I bought few things on sales and pay back through take 3options which means no interest to be paid. I will keep an eye to see when limit start going up although, I dont need high limit from them as i will only buy few things when sales is on.

My mother inlaw got Littlewoods from 2006 and limit is now £15,000

    That is insane £15000 limit.

I opened a littlewoods account recently as well with £750 limit I was wondering if that new application would stop any limit increases in the short term, or are the accounts run completely independently.

mines about 7/8k I've got very and littlewoods but there's only about £20 on one and £100 on the other , never got anywhere near the limit, not even got up to 1k! it just increases regularly it seems and I've never paid interest
