Credit score

Hi, I need some advice about my credit score. A few years ago my husband lost his job, this put us in debt & we ended up in an IVA. We are now a few months awAy from the final payment, during the IVA I have never defaulted on my mortgage payments, we have lived in the same house for 20 years I have had the same job for 20 years my husband now has a stable job & has for the past 2 years. I know the iva will affect my credit score but wondering if the fact I'm a home owner would help the score? I tried using clear score but it said it could provide a report.

Don't worry about the score, well you can if you like but lenders don't see it. The score/rating can be a reflection of your history (the score can be deceptive as you can have defaults and have a high score) but not all 3 reference agencies use the same score. Your credit history is what's important.

Maybe have a read of the first thread in the credit file & ratings forum.

    Ignore the score.

The IVA will damage you in the eyes of lenders so you need to make sure that everything else is ok - be on the electoral roll, manage other credit correctly, carry as little revolving debt as possible.
