Samsung TV Broke, out of Warranty what are my rights?

Hi

First post here so go easy :)

So I bought my TV from Currys-PC World on 26 December 2013 in store. Last night it 'freeze framed' and flashed with vertical and horizontal lines in varying colours. Turned it off right away and left it overnight. This morning its turned on (its showing the picture) but it has developed a black dot (about the size of a 5p) in the bottom right hand corner of the actual screen. In this same corner, on the plastic that surrounds the screen, its extremely hot to the touch and there is now a small bubble (it looks like its been burnt there from something behind the plastic surround)

It came with the standard warranty of 1 year which has obviously expired now.
It was purchased it on credit card
The tv hasn't had a knock nor has anything hit it or caused the above
I have contents insurance.

What are my rights for a repair/replacement?
Should I be talking to the CC company?

Any advice/ guidance would be appreciated
Ciaran
