Hi skyrat
I just wanted to reiterate abt how good discovery cove is and i would really say both go ( ie taking turns to swim with dolphins), to get the best out of it.
i *think* you get free entry to seaworld for a week after your trip to discovery cove - but do check this - we certainly did but it was 4 years ago. so if you are planning to go to seaworld anyway then you can in effect knock off the price of the seaworld ticket when you are calculating how much discovery cove would cost!! ( btw seaworld definately my fave place in florida - definately go there!!)
have a fab time!

Its still true, you can either get 1 weeks free entry into seaworld or 1 weeks entry to busch gardens- or upgrade your discovery cove ticket to get both of the extra parks for 2 weeks-Hope that makes sense.

Lol, it was me that mentioned in my post that i was 4 months pregnant. It was very restricting, even tame rides said that pregnant people shouldn't ride. I just held my tummy in for some of the rides, especially the safari at disney. To be honest, i dont think the attendants would have noticed anyway-without being rude or offensive, many of the americans were overweight.
People had said to me most of them are obese, but i didn't beleive it. Then we got into the disney parks and they had the disabled scooters for hire, but it wasn't disabled people using them , but obese americans.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

It's not quite the same thing about pregnancy vs obesity...
the restriction is there for pregnancy as there is a risk of miscarriage due to the movements of the coaster (side to side) and the fast braking mechanisms they have, and for similar reasons why there's restrictions on people with heart conditions.
however, definately Busch, Seaworld and IOA cater for larger people in that there are specific seats on rows that are bigger with the bigger overhead locking systems and belts to cater for their size.
In saying that though, yes I did see in the parks that the scooters were used for quite large people - however, at the same time, there is a lot of walking to do in some places and the people with the scooters may have had arthritis or something.0 -

......They may well have had.
Fully understand what you mean about the difference between pregnancy and larger people, it just seemed a bit ridiculous that they were saying i couldn't even go on the rapids, yet you can take very small children on there.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)
