    I think you have misunderstood what has been said.

    They were probably talking about Support for mortgage interest which is now in the form of a loan.

    This has a waiting period, I believe of 39 weeks.

    However you would not be eligible for this if you were earning which I presume you are since you have child care costs.

    Were you receiving any help with you housing costs under UC? ( i.e your rent?)

    Without further information about earnings etc it is difficult to know whether you are still entitled to UC. I presume if you were only receiving childcare costs then these should continue.

    Is your claim still open? If so, then put a note in your journal and ask why payments have stopped?

    Have there been any other changes or just the move to your own house?

    Just a thought.....did you have savings over £16K as this would have stopped any UC claim?

    Is it possible that your award is now zero? You were being helped with rent previously, but this element will no longer be in your award. It could be that your earnings are enough that no UC is payable now your award is lower. You should however have a breakdown of your award to check that it is correct.
