Best account for an MA student in credit!

So - here's an unusual situation. Have brought my daughter up to be a MSE fan, and she's just completed an undergraduate degree with a student loan, but no overdraft. In fact, between working, saving and a small legacy from grandparentsm she has accrued about £18,000! She's going on to a fully-funded MA, and will receive a grant of £800 per month.

We can't find a decent with-interest current account - Santander 123 doesn't accept students, even though she would meet their criteria otherwise. Their graduate/post-grad accounts only offer 3% on balances up to £2K.

She doesn't want to tie up her funds for more than a year. Any suggestions?

She should investigate the Best Accounts guide, but she probably will have trouble with some of them as she's not in employment at the moment.
