So I just phoned Awesome and they haven't had the car taken in for repair work.

    This is beyond ridiculous now.

Phoning up my credit card company to see what they can do.

    Meaning?

    They never touched the car?

The independent dealer said it would be going to Awesome Gti to get them to sort out the suspension side of things as they did the work on the car, suspension wise before I bought it. I phoned Awsome Gti and they haven't taken in the car for repair so dealer lied about taking the car to Awesome for repair work.

Surely I should be able to reject the car? 4+ weeks is ridiculous and why should I have to make payments to the finance company for a car that I'm not being able to use.

Taking and taken aren't the same, perhaps its still to be arranged some workshop time.

What amazes me is that Audi, Mercedes etc spend millions getting the suspension, tyre size, wheel combination correct.....and then someone comes along and changes it all to look jazzy and still expects the car to drive well.

They said everything is done and that the car is being prepared to be taken to Awesome Gti sometime this week to sort out the suspension. Seeing as it's now at the end of the week and Awesome Gti don't have the car then they lied. I am also !!!!esd off at the lack of communication also.

What amazes me is your basic lack of understanding when it comes to cars considering I see you are a motor trader judging by your username.

Many performance cars come out of the factory with excessive body roll and excessive understeer yet you constantly see people just chance the suspension by upgrading to springs/coilovers from the likes of KW/Bliestein and all the issues with body roll/understeer is reduce to 0 or minimal..

Granted not every performance car owner will test the car to its limits to experience all of this but when hardcore drivers who spend upwards 30k+ mental and it only takes under 2k to sort out the suspension then they deserve better.

All of which will make no difference when you're stuck in traffic.

I thought I would make some comment but thought better of it. I thought the poor soul will have learned his lesson from this episode. Apparently not!

You are aware that the springs and dampers don't actually make a huge amount of different to the amount of roll exhibited by the vehicle, unless they are so hard that the vehicle will be nearly un-drivable.

Could you list all the performance vehicles that have excessive roll from the factory

And just to put something you have already stated into context.

Only an idiot would put wheels with the wrong offset on something like an S3 and sort it out using wheel spacers.

The new Audi RS3 still has excessive body roll and excessive understeer which hasn't really Improved from the rs3 8p in that aspect.

The mk7 golf r is the only hot hatch performance car on the market that has come on the factory that has been set up absolutely perfect. Bang on.

I'm sorry but I wasn't the 'idiot' who changed the wheels and tried correcting the wrong offset by putting spacers on. :D
