Parking fine in 10 minute grace period

Hi parked at Padstow harbour carpark run by AS parking when returning to my car the parking warden was issuing me a parking ticket. My ticket expired at 21.19 the ticket was issued at 21.28, as stating on my ticket that they are a member of the BPA this should mean i should be allowed a 10 minute grace period. so i have appealed through IAS lost my appeal now received a letter from a debt collection agency for a £150, or they will take me to court. Feeling hard done by is this correct.

no , as you found out they are members of the IPC aos , but "corporate" members of the BPA


the BPA AOS is a circular logo , corporate = long square logo

Pity you didn't come to this forum earlier. IPC make up their own rules as they go along.

I thought the appeal was going to be a fore gone conclusion , how wrong was i.Where does this leave me now do i pay or take a chance ?.

upto £90 in your bank account if you tell the truth and embarrass them , they will be embarrassed in court if you read out the $%^&!!!! appeal to the judge

I think it’s worthwhile complaining to the Padstow Harbour Commissioners, requesting that they instruct AS Parking to cancel this unreasonable charge.

Based on the Minutes of the Commissioners’ Meeting held in February 2016, it seems that they may be sympathetic to fair and reasonable car park management.

The Minutes are available at http://www.padstow-harbour.co.uk/phc_meeting_02_16.pdf and include this note:

Mr K McManus, AS Parking - Mr McManus had sent his annual report to the Commissioners and had asked if the HM would read it to the Commissioners. After a short discussion the Commissioners decided that they were happy with the way things were currently run and they didn’t see the need for more stringent enforcement.
