UKCPS Dockside Outlet Centre, Chatham..Any chance of getting money back?

Hello all, brand new to site.
This is for my mothers sake really and my sanity. My mother and my girlfriend parked in the multi storey car park at Chatham Dockside, which I have done on hundreds of occasions without any problem.
They went for coffee in the retail outlet and returned one hour later to a parking fine, my mother is 70 and totally panicked and was worried out of her mind. A £100 fine had been placed for 'Leaving the site'? So she decided to pay the fine on her phone straight away as it dropped to £60 if paid now. Leaving the site? So I called the next day the call cost me £4 as its not a normal rate and was told read the sign, it said if you leave the car park you break their clauses?!?! So basically you must stay in the car park and not leave?!
Anyways I was fuming that they had paid as I know its just a money making scam.
My question can she get her money back after the event? I contacted them again and they said its up to the centre to quash the fine, and the centre said vice versa....Help!?

no chance of getting any money back, not unless you tried a court claim in the small claims court, which is likely to cost more and achieve nothing

and its an invoice , a speculative invoice from a private company , not a "fine"

this sc@mmers paradise industry is unregulated

Is the car park for the retail site ? Name the vermin who gave the ticket.

YES your mum has been scammed. Problem is she paid ?

If you can establish some facts such as signage, the size of writing,
whether easy to see or understand etc you could try to go to the credit card company or bank that your mother paid by, as she was intimidated and that you suspect a scam and ask for the charge to be reversed whilst you investigate. You never know, if you are successful, you will need to deal with the wrath of the parking company but that is no big deal

I'd suggest there is no point in even considering a small claim. Even if you won the scum at UKCPS wouldn't pay, so you'd just be throwing good money after bad.

The BPA has a rule that its members mustn't have unsatisfied CCJ's but the Red Cow Yard Gang couldn't give a s**t (of course, neither of them gives a s**t about members' criminal convictions).

No chance, once you have paid that is it.

You can perhaps cause them some grief by complaining to the landowners, any retail premises on site, the local Trading Standards Office, your MP, local papers and radio stations and Uncle Tom Cobley

You can also try reporting them for v.a.t. evasion, read these:

If, as they claim, this is contractual charge, it is a fee for parking, and thus vatable. Have they accounted for vat on their paper work?

Ask them for a vat invoice. If they ignore your request, (which they probably will), it is a useful stick with which to beat them if it ever gets to court.

If you suspect tax evasion report it to the fraud hot line here
