Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Speky I think it shows how much your Gran meant to you. No shame in crying for a lost loved on. I hope you are ok xx

Hester what a fab idea to pass things on to the care home. I used to love watching Norman Wisdom. Xx

Today it's overcast but still muggy. I really hope we get some rain and fresher air. I cannot stand this humid weather.

I had another bad nights sleep. I seem to be getting restless legs syndrome which really interrupts my sleep. I may pop in to the docs next week if they can fit me in. It's driving me potty.

Due to feeling tired, I am on catch up with the housework. I will just do what really needs doing today.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day. Hugs to those that need one. Xx

Evening all - much cooler today and very overcast, still warm though.

My day has been peaceful and gentle. I did a quick trip into town to the bank to exchange some awful bank notes which I was given yesterday in Oban. They were so used that they were difficult to hold and very dirty. My lovely cashier has taken them out of circulation and replaced them for me.

I've watered the garden, did some planning and generally just pottered around. I've got both the back and front doors open still and listening to the bird twittering and the sheep complaining.

I hope everyone had a good day.

    Evening everyone,

Late posting today but am pleased to say we are safely settled into our holiday cottage, it's very quaint but well thought out with everything we might need. Facing us one way is a lovely meadow which until recently was full of cows but they have just been called in for milking. Lovely to watch them all running across the field, whoever thinks they should be kept in large sheds should have the same done to them in my opinion! Out the other way the views are across more fields to the Mendip hills. It so quiet and peaceful, we will all sleep well tonight!

The journey down wasn't too bad with just a few minor hold ups, we broke it up with a nice pub lunch in Gloucestershire so don't have to think about a hot meal tonight, the wine is cooling in the fridge and we have cheese & fruit etc so won't starve :)

Speky glad your Gran's funeral went off well, no shame at all in expressing emotion at the passing of a loved one x

Have a lovely evening everyone, take care folks x
