How to cool the air without increasing humidity?

    What you are asking for is the definition of air conditioning.

    Most aircon units will be able to do what you need. And like everything, the better ones are more expensive. The cheap portable units aren't as good, and may need to be manually emptied of water which is a pain.

    We bought one of these from Screwfix, it was £170 and works great to cool the room down.
    The downside is you need somewhere to vent the exhaust, either through the window with some form of window kit or an existing wall vent.
    It also needs a 25mm hose to a bucket or something if you want it easy to drain as the internal tanks on portable units are a pain to empty.
