No, they never supplied a copy of the report and just quoted via email:
"The resistance issue you reported were present when it was tested by our engineers but were due to the touch console not being utilised correctly. We are confident that if you follow the console manual instructions that you will not have the resistance issues."
I replied stating that I have been training for many years, since my hobby is climbing trekking peaks and as a consequence have utilised many makes and brands in various gyms and know how to use consoles (it's quite clear when a resistance level of supposedly 1, is in practice more like 6/7).
When the engineers came to repair the third fault they were unable to find the fault until I highlighted it to them and hence have no confidence in their ability to detect issues.
Part of what I paid for was to have a machine that was correctly installed and since installation have not had a fully functioning machine. Re a previous comment I requested a refund and that the machine was not returned to me inside the 6 months timeframe.0 -

It seems that the Fitness Superstore, Nottingham are disputing there is any fault at all.
If the credit card company ask for an independent report to confirm whether or not a fault exists then I would either: (a) ask them to choose who should do the report or (b) ask them to confirm that they are content with my suggested "expert" before commissioning a report. Also get them to confirm they will pay for the report if it turns out there is no fault.
Of course it is quite possible, when they consider your case properly, they will see that your assertion is more believable than the Fitness Superstore, Nottingham's.0
