    They never fitted a fence alongside their boundary so my patio goes right up to their wall.
    I did think about trellis and I'll ask her if she minds me attaching it to the walls.

    If she doesn't want the wall drilled into, you could get some large pots and grow a selection of tall plants in them.

    Probably the best option - if I was the owner I'd be concerned about trellis and any climbing plants not being maintained and overrunning the wall. Pots can just be moved.
