BA flights through AA.com

I've noticed BA flights on AA.com appear cheaper than BA.com, has anybody had any problems buying BA flights on AA.com?

BTW They are priced in £ and my country of residence is ticked as UK.

I did this in February this year. No major problems. At first I was told I would not be able to use on-line check in and could not see our flights on the BA website, but in fact they appeared a couple of days before travel and on-line check in got us the best seats on the 'plane.

I noticed savings of around £40 or so on a return trip with BA to Hong Kong, when booked through AA's website!

BA has a promise that they'll refund the difference if you find the same BA flight elsewhere, though I agree, better just book through the cheaper method, nice spot! :D
  • AA.com price the flights without Taxes - Is it still cheaper when you add the taxes in (it wasn't on the flights I'd checked earlier in the year)? If so then you may just go for it...

On a long haul flight they include some taxes, but the AA.com also says

'For U.S. residents, the ticket price per person shown above includes applicable surcharges. For Non-U.S. residents, local taxes may apply
Flights not on American Airlines, American Eagle, or AmericanConnection® are on a request basis only. Fares and availability are subject to change

Q: Why are tickets on other airlines on a request basis only? A: Some airlines require post-booking reconfirmation of reservations made on AA.com. Please check with the airline for more details'

BUT if you compare the prices excl taxes AA.com is still cheaper, but there may be an add on in the post-booking reconfirmation.

On this subject I believe it may also be the case that if you book on aa.com there are no credit card surcharge unlike ba.com
