Egg ppi claim

I had an Egg card from 2003 up until they were taken over by Barclaycard
I was then converted to a Barclaycard
Can I claim for any ppi paid to Egg and if do who should

You would need to contact Barclaycard.

Hopefully they will still have records if it is the same account (typically it is easier to claim whilst the account is open or closed within the last six years).

You may need the old account number / credit card number, if it isn't the same account, you can get this via a subject access request.

If you've still got the paperwork, credit agreement, etc, it will probably be easier.

There's quite a lot of forum postings re egg, so it may be worth doing a search on here / on google for more info, plus read Martin's guide to claiming ppi.

No, but you can make a complaint if you can show that the policy was in some way missold to you.

And regulation of that industry didnt start till 2005 so they can just tell you to walk on....

As above, its not a reclaim, you dont get it back just because you paid it, you have to be able to prove that you were miss sold the PPI
