    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's so hot here already I'm wilting. I am quite cross actually as I had an appointment with the diabetes nurse at 7.30 this morning so I arranged a taxi and got up early to have a shower etc. When I got to the surgery the nurse I saw was not a diabetes nurse and she told me to come back next week for the clinic. She had obviously read my notes and could tell me I'd had blood tests etc done a couple of months ago so why didn't she ring me to cancel the appointment? I spent £8 in taxi fares for a 2 minute waste of time appointment. And breathe!

Anyway, my friend is coming to see me today. I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks so it will be lovely to catch up. I'm going to make a crustless quiche in a minute to have for lunch. Tonight I am making sausage and mustard pasta for me and hubby although I will be having courgette instead of tagliatelle. The girls have asked for pizza so that will be nice and easy.

I hope everything goes ok for you and your family Speky, I will be thinking of you x

I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Good Morning all and <<hugs>> for those who will be having a bad day today

Candlelight enjoy your new TV I know I am so pleased with mine I got the console table from Argos and it was half price which was even more of a bargain. The one Curry's had for sale I didn't like much and went for a solid long table with two shelves underneath which hold my DVD player and my TiVo box neatly and still has room on either side.

Lainey :) I do the same as your Mum, and collect all sorts of bits for our family holiday in August as my DD,son-in-law, four grandsons, two dogs, and a hamster all load up two cars and go to the Isle of wight for two weeks :):):) Good job I have a seven seater car really
I have one box with tinned bits which help out and another box of 'goodies' I also have a 'road kill' tin which every bit of 'shrapnel' (small change) goes into for the boys ice creams throughout the year. Our holidays are like an army maneuvers, but we have perfected it down to a fine art :) We rent a house for two weeks, and this year's house we have been to twice before and it suits us all good size garden for the dogs, 4 bedrooms and a large kitchen and two other large rooms for dining or watching tv.It has sufficient parking for us off road and is about a ten minute walk from the beach. We book our following years holiday virtually as soon as we return home at the end of August.:)only 9 weeks tomorrow until we are off :):):)Hopefully the weather will perk up a bit.

Today I have the gardener coming to tidy up the beds and mow the lawn and also the boiler chap is coming to service the boiler.I will probably do my ironing this morning as tomorrow I have to go to Faversham in the morning to get my car serviced at the dealership and then in the afternoon I will be at History club so a busy day ahead.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever they are doing
    Cheers chums

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Its rather grey and overcast here this morning, OH wants to get the front grass cut before it rains, its quite long so he is going to have a job there.

I need to cook the requested pork casserole for tonights supper, I do it in the pressure cooker. use belly pork. I like the pork from Aldi they take the skin off which makes it easer to prepare.

Out tomorrow to see my quilting friend. I have potted up geraniums for her from the reduced box I got when we were on holiday, there were 24 plants in it, had been £6.99 reduced to £3.50. I have all the geraniums in pots the ground is too hard to put them in the borders, so will just stick the pots in where there is a gap.

We went to the garden centre yesterday, ran out of compost so bought a large bag and also 3 bags of slate to finish off the piece at the side of the house where the pots stand whilst they are settling in, or in the case of the hostas, when they die back. We have enough slate to do the piece outside the gate where the bins stand. Should keep the weeds down.

I also bought soome Weedol 24hour, sprayed some of the weeds when we got back, looked at them this morning, no sign of them dying back, grrrr.

I treated OH to a cuppa and some ginger and lemon cake, it seems to have set his gut off, I think it had pecan nuts in it, wonder if it was them. It will not be the ginger, thats good for stomach problems.

I need to push the dyson over the sitting room carpet and also the kitchen floor, it gets so muchky with us tramping in and out all the time to the garden.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Hugs to those that are not.

Speky I will be thinking of you and your family today. Xx
Redruby I hope your funeral goes ok too. Xx

It's sunny and warm again today. I personally prefer it cooler than it is. We did get a bit of rain yesterday which was good for the garden, but it's still humid. Some areas are flooded so I shouldn't complain.

I need to clean and Hoover upstairs. Downstairs is fairly OK as I do it most days. Bathroom will get its daily swish and swipe. Not enough washing to do a full one so I will hang on until there is a full load.

I might potter in the garden if it isn't too hot.

I hope you all have a good day xxx

    Afternoon all
Hugs Speky, hope it went well.
I've just got in from work, came home via the post office as I'm still posting books and via the local care home who took my DVD's, they were delighted to see a boxed set of Norman Wisdom, and would love some knitting needles and wool.
I'm going to eat my jacket potato and then launch myself into some more sorting.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
