Usually this is all straightforward - I just think in this case (monthly savings) the AER calculation isnt straightforward. I still have marking to do, so I will get back to you0

I understand the Halifax is a brain teaser, but The rest is not straight forward to allot of people, most people probably don't know what Net or Gross mean!
My idea is that imagine you had never banked at all! Wouldn't a table like i mentioned above be the most usefully tool ever! It may take the effort out of it all, all the research might put some people off and they may net be bothered or become overwhelmed! I think this way it will help allot of people!
