Labour cost for bathroom fitting

What is a reasonable cost for 8 days work for 2 people fitting and tiling a bathroom please? The bathroom is being totally re-arranged which accounts for the length of time needed. I have been quoted £3,500 plus VAT.

Is that just the labour costs? Sounds ridiculously expensive.0

Yes everything else is extra.0

I paid £950 (including VAT) for fitting in a small ensuite bathroom. This included removing tiles, stud wall, sink, toilet and shower cubicle. Then replastering (skim) walls and ceilings, fitting new sink, toilet, shower cubicle, wall cabinet, extractor fan and ceiling light; and moving radiator to another wall.
Tiling was extra at £25/sqm (not including tiles)
Didn't take as long as 8 days (about 5 days work) but your quotation still seems very high0 -
to refit a bathroom suite, even with rearrangment should not take them more than 2 days.
tiling 2 to 3 days max. (i did 12m2 of my own bathroom on my own in 2.5 days)0 -
sounds a lot to me.
Dh is a bathroom fitter and he would charge between £800 to £1000 (tops)
for a job like that,
it would take a couple of days to rip it out, remove the old tiles and do the pipework another 2+ to tile and grout and another 2 or to put it in and add any finishing touches, like toilet roll holders, sealants shower screens etc. so around 6 days, maybe going over to 7 but that is him on his own0 -
Good morning: See my previous post on same subject ... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=5950861&postcount=3
16 days labour on your job (2 bodies x 8 days) plus materials eg. copper, fittings, grout, adhesives, wiring and consumables etc could easily top your quote down here in the southeast.

Thanks to those above for the info. I think I need to get more quotes.
