summot funny at the BPA

http://www.britishparking.co.uk/Approved-Operators

new rows of coliums stating what each operator can and cannot do

DR+ / PCS seem to have lost the right to do "back office"

however a completely separate company , zzps is now allowed to do back office and debt collection

perhaps the sheer number of complaints about PCS adding monies on , has hit a nerve at the BPA

    Interesting observation PG.

Equally interesting is how short that list is starting to look.

The BPA are a totally useless organistation who drag the ISPA into the gutter. Must be replaced by genuine people ... not jokers

the following companies are not parking companies , they are debt collectors and should be in another AOS , however they have chosen the BPA to (possibly) illegally get details from the DVLA

    Akinika Debt Recovery Limited
    Apex Parking Ltd
    Beacon Parking Services Limited
    Commercial Collection Services Ltd
Debt Recovery Plus Ltd also t/as Parking Collection Services & Zenith Collections
    Direct Collection Bailiffs Limited
    Euro Parking Collection Plc
    LCP Parking Services Limited
    Rossendales Limited
TNC Management Ltd t/a TNC Collections
    ZZPS Ltd

what is a surprise , is the addition of East Midlands Trains Limited , this a surprise as most of their land will come under by laws and be non applicable to the POFa

Take that lot out of the list and it's starting to look quite worrying from the BPA's perspective.

I'm sure that won't have passed under Twirly Whurley's and Johnny D's radar without notice. Numbers-wise they could easily become the major ATA.

BPA's push for a single ATA could well be a feature of the outcome DCLG's forthcoming deliberations (when is that report ever to come out?) and the BPA might well be advised to be careful for what they wish!

Those columns have been there for ages, and they document what the companies do, not what the BPA permits them to do. If one of the companies told the BPA that they have a sideline in confiscating Christian babies from car park users and selling them for breakfast consumption the BPA would happily add a column for that too.

Don't forget that the BPA has lots of non-PPC, non-AOS members, such as nearly all local authorities. If only it had stuck to looking after the interests of such members instead of becoming an apologist for knuckle-dragging ex-clampers it would probably be a healthy (albeit smaller) organisation to this day, and would be able to hurl brickbats at the PPC business (and lobby the government about it) from a position of integrity.

    ANPR

the "back office" column simply did not exist
