How to find out Landlord details of a rented property? Tried Land registry.....

Hi there,

Not sure if anyone can help but we are currently having problems with our neighbours and noise/disruption.

After weeks of loud music until 2am/dogs barking and weed smoking we contacted the council who sent out the pack for us to fill in (and them a copy) but we are under the impression if we proceed with this complaint when we come to sell the house this information can be disclosed to potential buyers (we are currently thinking of selling just to get away from them!!) which we want to avoid for obvious reasons.

As far as we know it has been rented to various people/couples since 2011 and I have tried contacting the local estate agents to see if they are renting it but none of them seem to be. I have paid for the Land Registry information however all this gives me is the name of the lady who purchased the house and both the addresses (registered owner and address of property) are the house next door but she has never lived there. I've tried 192.com and can find this lady locally on the electoral roll until 2009 after that I'm stabbing in the dark at any number of people she could be on there.

Is there any other way to find out an address for the owner - even if its just to let her know her house is being treated this way?! After reading some threads on here I guess most of them don't want to know anyway?
Any help or advice would be great!
Thanks
LJ

We could try but they aren't very approachable even when they first moved in we struggled to get an hello out of them or a smile and I've had to go round there a couple of times to ask them to turn their music down so I think they would guess why we want to know?

Possibly, or you could say you are thinking about selling and have something's to discuss with the owner in regards to land registry etc.

the PIF which you fill out will ask if there have been any complaints regarding your or a neighboring property. If you complain to the landlord you will have to disclose this when selling or risk legal action.

Just move, you will probably aggravate things if you complain.

It won't be a complaint just yet.

I am writing this letter to bring to your attention...such and such. If this behaviour continues I will be raising a complaint with the council which if ignored could lead to a closure order being imposed on your property by the magistrates court for up to 3 months which will adversely affect the income you can make from the property. I don't wish to raise a complaint I just wish to bring it to your attention so that you can take action to stop it.

Are there other neighbours who have lived in the street for a while?

They might know the owners of the rented house.

My partner was there when the old tenants left (we are the only owners in the terrace) he knew the old owner but all he told him when he left was that it was being sold to an investor who wanted to let it.
I guess we could try and contact him see if he has any details of who he sold it to?
