Vegas Resort Fee

Currently in Vegas at tge Luxor and was told before we went hotels charge a faily resort fee. Upon check in we were told the hotel room has been paid in full (was booked as a package) and no debit card was taken although they took my passport details
Looking this morning on the bill via the TV they have added a resort fee. What happens if i dont pay that at the end of the week? I was told we can do Express Checkout when we leave so just put our keys in a box near reception.
So if they dont have my card details, and i don't have to speak to anyone when i checkout will i get away with the resort fee? Only worry is they havw my passport details

Why would you try and skip out without paying it?
You are aware of the charge, don't you think morally you should just pay what you owe?0 -
It may be that your resort fee was prepaid and the bill is a mistake. Check your package invoice, and speak to reception to query/ arrange to pay.0

Main reason is we weren't told a resort fee exists by the travel agent until after paying off our holiday
It was unfair to wait until after we paid to tell us this extra charge.0 -
!!!!!! is a resort fee0

there appears to be only one strip hotel that does not have a resort fee

I expect there will be some blurb in the T&Cs that mentions local charges being paid locally
If they do not have card details I would not be surprised if at some point in your stay you are invited to reception to register a card, I guess if that does not happen and you fast check-out there will be some sort of bill appearing at your home address...can it be enforced?...who knows...does anyone who wants to possibly return to the states want to risk it?0 -

Did you not do any research before booking?
I hate it when this line is spouted out at almost every opportunity.
Why would the OP do research about it. He booked a package, the TA told him that everything was included, they took his money, holiday paid for.
Consequently at a later date, probably when the OP received the travel documents there was a line inserted saying something about a resort fee being paid locally
There are many occasions that the TA price would include the resort fee, so tell me what research OP should have done.
OP go to reception, explain that you were told that everything was paid for in advance and you are concerned to see the fee has been added. Usually a nice British accent is sufficient to get it waived.
Vegas hotels have a history of wiping resort fees from your bill at the drop of a hat. I've never paid a resort fee yet.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
